Since we haven't updated at all in forever and we've had SO much happen here's some of what we've been up to ...

Our girl Hailey is getting so big we can't believe it ... she turned 3 this summer! We are literally obsessed with her and her personality ... she has always been an excellent talker but lately we can't shut her up its non stop and to any or everybody that will listen, she is not one bit shy and absolutely loves attention! She is getting sassy and must think she's 10 years old.

We had an awesome summer with Kevin out of school he still worked his 7 on 7 off at the hospital and I think there was only a couple weekends that he was off the whole summer that we stayed home ... we had so much fun on a trip to the Oregon Coast, week in Seattle, Bear Lake, Boys back packing trip, boating, and holiday weekends. We love having him around more and are so excited that come April we will have him LOTS more and start to have a normal life! We miss him when he's not around!

Hailey started Preschool this year ... she has been wanting to go to school like all the big kids for a long time and was so excited to start! It was short lived and now when we have to get ready she tells me she doesn't want to go and is sad when I leave her ... she sure knows how to milk it for attention because she LOVES it and her teachers. She is learning so much and loves to play with the kids ... she always has the biggest smile when we pick her up. She has started playing school and pretending she's Ms. Marcia and Ms. Jodi its so fun watching her grow up and everything new that comes with it. We miss her being little and sometimes she drives us CRAZY because she's so active all the time non stop and asks a million questions (sometimes I honestly don't have an answer and she looks at me and says come on just tell me) but she makes us so happy and we wouldn't want her any other way ... SHE'S SO FUN!

We are so excited about our new little one coming and are getting anxious to meet our little guy.

Hailey was a little sad it wasn't a girl she actually put her head on the chair and sobbed ... it was so dramatic and so an act ... she has now totally warmed up to the idea now and will be much happier not to have to share her daddy with a sister (she is such a daddy's girl). Kevin being the only boy with all sisters is super excited to have a boy. Everything is looking great and he's measuring right on track. I'm probably going to do another C-section and we're hoping to talk the Dr. into a few days earlier but if he hasn't come about January 2 on his own that will be the day! I know every pregnancy is different but from the very beginning I had a hunch it was a boy ... its been totally different this time around I was not sick one single day with Hailey and the start of this pregnancy was totally different pretty much I felt sick all the time and he moves all the time I hardly ever felt Hailey move at even at the end. I have been feeling great now and am so excited and anxious to get everything ready for him to come!

Friends

Tuesday night Jenni and I drove down and met Brooke for dinner. I love those girls so much, its so nice to get together we just "get" each other nothing has to be explained and not once do I worry about one single thing that comes out of my mouth. They are most definitely my best friends ever and I don't know what'd I'd do without them I truly feel 100% comfortable being myself with them. I can't wait for summer and school to be out and to be able to hang out with Brooke and Dre more. I am so thankful for friends like them I can't even say how much we've been through together ... college was CRAZY and I'm glad all these years later we've still got each other. Not to mention we all know WAY to many of each others secrets so I guess we're kinda stuck with each other!

I am trying to think of doing something with this neglected blog ... and blog posts always sound so much cooler and interesting in my head. I swear we do fun exciting things but lets be real sometimes its to much work to blog about them. Like

We went to the circus a few weeks (maybe months) ago ... WT central and a total money pit I couldn't believe how many people paid $10 to ride on an elephant with 8 others for maybe 30 seconds however we do have a child who is weirdly obsessed with horses ... I'm not kidding obsessed and insisted on riding on the "little baby" horses ($6) then intermission and they haul the "rides" out again and the glow stick things they sell at the Dollar Store for $15 seriously I've seen it at the Dollar Store! But seeing Hailey absolutely in amazement when the tigers came out made the night so fun!

Valentines day bowling with the Argyles: has anyone been to Boondocks so fun! Hailey wasn't as excited about bowling as I thought (but maybe its because on our way in she saw a carousel and as said before can't leave horses or really any animals alone) best part of the night Kaden randomly tried a game (we still don't fully understand how its suppose to work) and it seriously starting pouring out gold tokens (we're taking him to Vegas) so the rest of the night we were running around trying to get tickets to buy the lameo prizes it also should be mentioned that Kevin really wanted the whoopie coushin.

We've been back to Boondocks and didn't have the same luck but I have learned several things about Kevin as a dad ... he's obsessed with video taping everything Hailey does lately on his phone and isn't even the least bit worried about who sees like him literally climbing in the under 48" play place to record her sliding down the slide and him hoping she'll plow into some kid ... he really records her everywhere.

I feel like I never see my husband and I am not exaggerating I really think some of our neighbors maybe think I am a single mom that sometimes has this guy show up at 1 am and leaves before light ... awesome! He works so hard at the hospital and he really loves it.

So if you're like me I secretly love seeing people fall or do really stupid things: 1 it makes me laugh so hard and 2 makes me feel like I'm not the only klutz idiot out there. The other day after story time at the library I totally tripped on the curb and fell right on my butt the kind of fall the is not graceful at all ... best part Jenni and Bri were pulling out and saw the whole thing ... you can't recover from that so I just sat there laughing knowing I made somebody's day because I'm sure every car in the parking lot saw.

A few days later I totally saw a kid run full on into a glass door at the store ... that made my day! (I've done that too remember in Hawaii Brooke but before you laugh to hard don't forget you peed your pants laughing at me)

We've been potty training and it has to be the WORST thing about being a parent its a total nightmare especially to my determined strong willed daughter ... she gets it but I am so tired of fighting and cleaning up messes so ... she's back in pull ups (I know worst thing) but I'm kinda over it ... most days she does really well but sometimes she doesn't feel like it.

So maybe I'll try to blog about our day to day happenings ... big events seem like to much work ...

December

Wow ... the month of December is already over??? Well we had such a fun month (pictures to come) and today it is officially over ... school started back up again. Kevin was out of school and no clinicals for the entire month so he was just on his 7 on 7 off schedule at the hospital ... thats right every other week he was off and we got to spend every morning with him! What are we going to do now that we'll never see him again? Well the month of July will be his next big break ... that's not to far away is it? We had so much fun this month, it was kind of a let down that he had to work Christmas eve and Christmas night but we had a fun time anyway. Grandma and Grandpa Mills came and spent the night,Grandpa Don visited from Seattle, we hadn't seen in 6 months! Spent a few days in Logan with the Mills family ... and lots lots more! And now back to reality the tree is coming down today and then Kevin's crazy busy schedule will start we'll need to find lot to keep us busy

Disney on Ice

Jenni got tickets to Disney on ice and we decided to make a two generation girls night out ... Lisa came too. We started with dinner at Jenni's house. A minor delay on the way (right Jen ;)! I put together little treat bags for the girls complete with Mickey Mouse on the Ice book, a princess crown, and snacks! The little girls were so cute in their tutus and crowns and absolutely loved the show. Hailey has just started getting into the Disney movies and she knew every character (except the Lilo and Stich ... we could have maybe done without that one!) She was so happy and it was such a fun night!

I love that Jenni lives so close and she's kinda in the same boat with busy husbands. With Kevin working and studying so much its nice to have someone to get out and do things with and when Ronnie's out of town or busy it keeps us both from going insane! And could Bri be any cuter? Hailey is so lucky to have such a cute, fun, little friend.

Hailey brought home a few baby pumpkins so that night we painted them to give to Grandma and Grandpa. Hailey loves painting and mom is sure to only buy washable paints so we don't make a big mess or at least one that can't be cleaned up!

Pumpkin Patch

A week or so before Halloween Jenni and I headed to a pumpkin patch in Kaysville ... it was so fun and the girls loved it!!! Hailey was all about the dirt and wasn't afraid one bit she seriously wandered all over the patch! Bri and Hailey have so much fun together and are getting old enough to really play together!

So I have all along kinda hated private blogs ... you know clicking through peoples blog list and thinking oh I remember them; wonder what they are up to and it's blocked kinda annoying right? Well a few things are making me think about making our blog private: 1.Ordering a yearly picture/scrapbook my sister in law just had one printed and its pretty cool but I would probably want to put more details in it about our everyday lives that maybe I try not to publish for the whole world to see 2.Speaking of whole world I will randomly get comments and followers from all over the world even someone telling me what foods Kevin should eat more of because or his radiation exposure or someone saying they literally spent hours looking at pictures of my daughter ... what who are you? 3.I saw on someone's blog about not posting about who their daughters teacher is and what school they go to and using fake names for their kids ... that got me thinking people could get a lot of details that I don't even really notice about our family and where we are and what we are doing.

Not that I think our life is all that interesting ... but I think its fun to post and back to number 1 ... super easy scrapbooking! But kinda am a little creeped out right now ... what do people think???

I really might make our blog private in the next couple weeks so leave me your email address (I will delete it after) even if I don't talk to you very often or you are Kevin's friends from high school that I've never met ...

Mills Trip 2010

Every other year we go on a trip with all of Kevin's family in the past its always been to the Oregon Coast ... but after a crazy night last November after Sunday dinner it was decided to try some place new. We stayed in this amazing cabin in Island Park,ID! It was fun and different! We were in the car a lot and Hailey was such a trooper! We had awesome food, fun in the hot tub, ranger rides, walks, boat rides, book reading. Kevin got in lots of fishing time! I think my favorite part was the night we went to this little play at Macks Inn; pirates of the car-ribean! It was so cute and actually funny ... I kind of want to go to a dinner theater down here somewhere I was impressed! Hailey is the youngest grandchild and was sad each night when all the kids got in the hot tub and she couldn't because it was too hot but loved all the attention and time playing with her cousins (sometimes though the attention would be a little much and we would hear "leave me alone" in her little voice) There was a fox that lived rear the cabin and Hailey loved trying to see it and still talks about the Fox! Louise was hoping to see a moose in the reservoir one day unfortunately we never did ... just as we were driving to head home one ran right in front of our car it was crazy we almost hit it! Hailey forgets the almost part and tells people "Grandpa hit moose with the car"!All in all we had a good time and look forward to our next trip ... wonder where we'll go next time???

One night we played this game Minute to win it which I up until now thought was called in it to win it ... so whatever! It was so funny to watch everyone try to do all these crazy tasks! Hailey was so cute and knew just what to do from watching everyone else! we worry the next time she sees an oreo she'll try to eat it off her own forhead or put panty hose on her head ...

Everyone was so excited to go fishing ... all the kids had their fishing poles even Hailey's pink princess pole! The big boys bought licenses for the whole week even Michelle got one for a couple of days and was sure with her salmon eggs and left over hamburger she was going to catch tons! They tried fishing in lakes, rivers, off the boat in the resevoir ... but nothing ... the fishing was awfull! Jaren and Kevin did end up catching a few with their fly rods towards the end of the trip! Natalie caught one illegally floating down the river and Derek caught a tiny one ... that was about it!

Bear World

This was maybe the highlight of the trip! On our way to Island Park we stopped at Bear World ... we crammed into 2 cars and drove through the park! Its so cool there are all these animals right outside your car buffalo, elk, wolves, moose, and of course bears ... we were there in the middle of the day so they were hot and not too active, but still so cool to see them so close! At the end you could play in this little amusement park and when I say little I mean little the rides looked so funny especially when all our neices and nephews (ages 7-15) would get on them! Derek works at Lagoon so he especially thought they were funny!

There was also the best petting zoo! The animals were obviously so tame and Hailey loved seeing them all! She loves animals her favorite movies are Bambie, babe,Fox and the hound, and Charolotte's Web so this was her dream come true!

Parade

Kind of last minute Jenni and I decided to go to the Bountiful 24th of July Parade ... it was so hot but the girls loved it! We parked at Grandma Parks and walked up we lucked out and found a spot right in front (there was no shade and the sun was beating directly on us... thats probably why it was open)! It was seriously the longest parade and I remember as a kid the floats throwing lots more stuff everybody just threw taffy! Hailey caught on real quick to run after the candy and frisbees they were throwing and Brielle was so into the bands and music ... that little girl has moves!

Bear Lake

One weekend in July we went up to Bear Lake with some friends to go boating and have sometime away! We dropped Hailey off with Grandma and Grandpa who actually ended up taking her camping with the Kitchens which she loved and was so impressed that Branden and Bailey caught fish and she got to sleep in a tent! It's so nice that Hailey loves all her grandparents so much it makes it easy to leave her knowing she is so happy and well taken care of!

I love the tube ... and I am the biggest nerd because the whole time I can't stop laughing I laugh so hard I probably pee my pants I think its so fun its one of my favorite things about the summer! This day the water was so chopping we didn't last that long but still had so much fun! Kevin even taught me to drive the boat so he and Jake could ride (which by the way was totally harder than I thought especially in choppy water ... kevin would just yell from the tube what to do and say its kind of hard to explain ... didn't help much but I got the hang of it after awhile)

Kevin's favorite thing about summer is wakeboarding and I feel so bad he hardly gets to go anymore ... He has so many hobbies (skiing, golfing, mountain biking, fishing, and,wakeboarding) all of which he doesn't get much time to do ... he's so busy with work and school that his occassional free time Hailey and I are kind of selfish and want him all to ourselves! I have started golfing and actually like it (its how I chose to spend my birthday this year) if its under 85 degrees! I love to see how much he enjoys himself while he's having fun!

4th of July

I've always loved the 4th of July it really can be one of my favorite holidays ... there isn't a ton of stuff to get caught up in, its really pretty relaxing and a fun time to spend with family. This year we headed up to Logan for the USU fireworks all of Kevin's family came up and we started with some dutch oven dinner and then headed over to watch the fireworks. Hailey was so funny she always gets so excited and hyper around her cousins and Grandpa! Grandma Mills bought these glow stick hats that were so funny and I think they made the night! When the fireworks would boom Hailey would start jumping up and down screaming and all the kids would laugh so hard which only made her scream louder. Then we headed home to sleep out ... Hailey was talking about sleeping in a tent at Grandpa's all week too bad she was asleep before she even knew she was in a tent.

I can't believe Hailey is 2! We celebrated twice and both times she was so spoiled! We've had so much fun being Hailey's mom and dad and the way she is starting to interact with us is so fun ... we love our little girl!

Seattle 2010

Awhile ago we headed to Seattle to visit my dad. Its always so nice to go. Hailey was amazing on the plane seriously she did so good ... on the way there we played and colored and on the way home she read a few stories and then fell asleep the rest of the flight and even the ride home. I love spending time with my dad and for how busy he is he really has gotten to be around Hailey so much and she loves him and the attention he gives her. Some fun things about this trip were his motorcycle and how interested Hailey was in it, now whenever she sees or hears one she asks if its Grandpa's motorcycle her voice is so cute when she says it. My dad has some green belt behind his house and Hailey was convinced a tiger lived in it and she still keeps talking about the Tiger she tells us what its doing all the time ... sleeping ... pooping ... sometimes she's "scared of the tiger". We got to spend a lot of time with my Grandpa Wilson and Grandma Shirley Hailey definitely kept them entertained and Shirley nicknamed Hailey Demo for demolisher and said she reminded her of herself ... uh oh ...

Mukilteo Beach

Fathers day

We spent fathers day at a Mariners game and then relaxing at my dads. It was Hailey's first MLB game and it was cold and wet making for a not too happy little girl. But she was just happy to spend the day with her dad. Hailey has become so attached to Kevin it almost makes me sad because in just a couple months he is going to be so busy and she may not see him much! She is always so excited to play with him! Kevin is such an awesome dad and even with how busy he is he always makes time for Hailey and she loves every second ... I know she'll always be Daddy's girl.

Childrens museum

There is a really cute children's museum in Everett ... Hailey absolutely loved it! There is a whole room devoted to playing in the water ... glow in the dark ... dinosaur dig ... fire truck, and the biggest playground set you've ever seen. Hailey was following kids all over the jungle gym and she climbed up to this slide we thought there was no way she was coming down the tube slide but she surprised us both! It was so fun seeing her having so much fun.

Brooke's sister Jami is having a baby girl so Brooke, her mom, and Kelly gave a baby shower for her! Brooke and I used it as an excuse to get together ... she came up worked on this diaper cake for her gift went to lunch with Ashlee who was in town and then on Saturday we got to hang out at the shower! It was Brooke's "birthday weekend" so I'm glad we got some time in ... Happy Birthday Brooke! I was going through old pictures I had in a box and pulled some out that are so funny of us in college (when I showed Brooke we both couldn't stop laughing I thought she'd pee her pants I'll have to scan and post them) ... I swear in half of them we match and the sad thing is probably half of those were planned matching actually I'm not sure which is worse that we planned outfits to match or that we really spent that much time together that we wore off on each other. I've said it before but living at the Village was so much fun because of the girls I lived with! Brooke and I worked together, lived together, and vacationed together we were always really close and had a friendship like I've never had before. Love you Brooke!

Earl's Retired

May was an exciting month for the Mills ... Kevin's dad finally caught up with his mom and they are now both retired! Louise threw a party to celebrate and everyone was there! Its not very often that every member of our family is together so it was fun. We took some pictures of all 8 grandkids and the 4 Mills kids! Everyone helped make a book of memories and thoughts for Earl! We really look forward to all the time they'll have now to spend with everyone but I'm not sure that they're looking forward to all the requests for babysitting! All though with all these cute kids I'm sure they can't really complain ... Working 32 years at the same place (ATK/Thikol) isn't easy I'm sure but we're all grateful and a little jealous!!!

Lagoon

Michelle hooked us up with some cheap Lagoon tickets so yesterday we headed down and met Grandma and Grandpa, Nymans, and Bailey and Branden. It was so fun and Hailey loved watching everything she was a little nervous about the rides all though she loved the carosul. Kevin won her a stuffed dog at the "Guess my age" stand ... and they guessed ... 18 ... when he told her 28 she said really?!!! We rode the rattlesnake rapid and the log ride as one of the first rides and then we were close to miserable and soggy all day ... it wasn't very hot it actually rained some! All in all we were impressed by how well Hailey did with the help from Grandma and Grandpa who watched her on some of the big rides. It was such a fun day!

our girl is so big! Hailey is almost 2 and I can't believe it ... I think she has changed so much more the second year of her life then she did in the first. Everyday it seems she learns something new. Hailey is so independent she wants and has to "try" everything herself. I couldn't even begin to count how many words she knows because all we have to do is say something once and she knows it ... she really is so good at names and it surprises me how much she understands of what we say! She knows exactally what she wants and when she wants it ... which can be really frustrating at times because you just can't rationalize with her. But she is so fun to play with now! She really is starting to love her toys and is getting an imagination while playing with them. She loves to watch movies but only cuddled up next to someone her favorites are Bambi, Fox and the Hound, and Thomas the train which all three I now have memorized. She still loves her binky and I just don't have the guts to take it away and even more she has the most special blankie a purple and white minky one and the 30 min plus its in the wash every week is the hardest of her life ... we can't leave the house without either because one has to go with other. Hailey is completely the light of our lives I think it is Kevin's favorite time of the day when he walks through the door ... she is always so excited to see him and I love to see them together.

These past few weeks have been very exciting for our family! We have felt overwhelmed by how truely blessed we are! I don't talk much about Kevin's school but its been a really long road and has taken him away from Hailey and I so much. I am so proud of him for everything he's done and given up so I can be home with her even if it means he's not so much. He has worked amazingly hard at work and impressed all the right people and the amount of time he's spent studying is unreal. He's had courage to talk to all the people that can make a difference. And finally the sacrfifices we've made have paid off ... HE GOT IN his program! To be honest we were not really expecting it and were preparred for a rejection letter knowing it takes the majority of students 2 tries. But we were pleasantly surprised! This news has instantly given Kevin his spark back he is a new person with a huge weight off his shoulders. It really is the biggest blessing in our lives and Kevin loves his work at the hospital and I think it is so awesome that he is now so close to being able to do a profession he'll truly enjoy! We're really excited around here, we love having our Kev back and a lot of stress gone. We are so aware of all our many blessings; Our families and all they do for us, eachother and our commitment to making our family happy, and maybe most of all Hailey she is the biggest blessing in our lives.

Vegas

Our neighbors/friends/kevin's co-worker (they can't get rid of us) invited us to go down to St.George for a weekend of mt. biking and Vegas. It happened to fall on the weekend before our 5 year anniversary so it was perfect! Kevin and Jake left us for an entire day on a bike ride that was suppose to be like 10 miles and really turned out to be more like 32 miles but one of their favorite rides ever (more pictures to come). It was so fun to get away and to have Kevin all to myself (kinda)! Even after 5 years of marriage we can still have fun together!

My friend Jenni's little girl turned one on Sunday and we were able to go to her party ... it was so fun and she was so cute ... not feeling too well ... but cute! Brooke was able to come up with her little guy Dre so we had to try and get a picture of all of us ... it didn't turn out to well ...

I love being married and having a little family but occasionally miss living with these girls at the good 'ole VOP ... we had so much fun together! Its crazy how times have changed and now we're all moms! I love the times we're all able to get together and think Brooke needs to move up here so we can see her more (which I know will never happen) but I think its so great that things always pick up right where we left off like we still see each other everyday ...

I really feel so lucky to have met them and become such good friends we've been through so much together and know way to much about each other ... I hope Hailey is able to be blessed with such great friends ... she's already got 2 for sure ... Brielle and Dre!

She looks so sad in some of these pictures because she climbs to the top of the slide and wont come down unless I go with her ... kinda ridiculous!

Valentines Day

This year we didn't do anything over the top for Valentines day ... some friends came over for a cheesey dinner of heart shaped pizza on Saturday night! When I was growing up my mom used to make homemade heart pizzas on valentines day ... mine was easier and came straight from Papa Murphey's! We love any reason to give Hailey a present and she loves getting them! It was so nice that it fell on Kevin's 5 off and we got to hang out with him all day. We had a yummy breakfast and headed to church it was ward conference and no joke sacrament lasted 2 hours Hailey was not loving that but it was such a nice day she was spoiled and her dad took her out to play about one hour in ...
Then once again while making dinner I burned myself ... I seriously have trouble in that area that was the second time this week with blistery burns ... but dinner was really good if I do say so myself ... if you've ever had Sunday dinner at Kevin's parents house you know his mom makes the best pork roast and gravy you've seriously ever had ... but mine was pretty close last Sunday! Grandma Park was in the hospital after a bad fall so after dinner we headed up to see her ... all in all it was a great day spent with the ones we love!

Ronnie Price Hall of Fame

Last week we were lucky enough to head down to Orem and attend Ronnie's induction into UVU's Hall of Fame! It was so fun and we were so excited for the Price Family. Jenni is one of my very best friends and we love her, Ronnie, and Brielle so much and are so happy for them and all the success he has had! It was a good night honoring Ronnie and over and over they couldn't stress enough how awesome of a guy he is and how hard he's worked for everything he has accomplished and how truly deserved it is! The dinner was so good and we had seats as close as you can get to the action on the floor for the game! Sitting in the McKay Events Center was so crazy for me and I had a million flashbacks ... Jenni and Brooke for obvious reasons were huge Wolverine basketball fans and I was the tag a long ... I'm sure we were at just about every game! I loved watching Ronnie play there and still LOVE watching him play at the Energy Solutions Arena! He really is so full of energy and such a great guy! The night gave me so many emotions of excitement for him but also reminiscing of the memories I have of UVSC and the friendships I made there. Its not a well kept secret of how much Kevin and I hated living in Utah Valley and were so ready to move out but all in all it was good to us! I'm so grateful for Brooke and Jenni and the times we had together! I really do think college was so fun and obviously between Kevin and I but also gave me my life long best friends.

New Years Eve I got together during the day with Brooke and Jenni ... we didn't take any pictures of us or with Brooke's little guy Dre ... Brielle and Dre are both the smiliest babies you've ever seen and I'm not kidding I never remember Hailey smiling even close to the way they do ... they're total hams! Hailey is 9 months older than Bri which is close to the age difference of her mom and I ... but when they're this little it seems like they are totally on different levels completely! But give them a few years and they'll all be BFFs!

We were the only ones who stayed over ... but Christmas morning was lots of fun! Hailey didn't really get to into opening gifts she opened her wooden train first and was entertained by that for the rest of the morning. After breakfast and a little Beatles Rock Band we headed to my moms and then my dad flew in. So we had 3 Christmas mornings spread through out the day which makes for a crazy day and an exhausted baby but worth it!

We spent Christmas in Providence with the Mills Family ... it was so much fun. We had a pasta bar and tons of treats! All the kids did a talent show ... we taught Hailey the nativity story with stick puppets, but she wasn't really in the preforming mood so mom and dad told the story. An unkown surprise Santa came to visit all the kids! Hailey is the only little one and was kinda in the way during the traditional BINGO game and ruined a few people's cards ... sorry. We opened presents and everyone was so excited over all the gifts ... Grandma and Grandpa always spoil us!

I don't know where this little girl came from ... my baby Hailey was the best sleeper. The day we brought her home from the hospital she went to sleep at 11 ... woke up at 3 ... she'd eat and go right back to bed ... up at 6 when dad got up for work. By 2 1/2 weeks she'd sleep 6 hours and somewhere around 2 1/2 months we were getting a full 8 hours ... and at 12 weeks it was 8 am to 8 pm sleep at our house ... that's how it stayed for a good year she'd say when she was tired go right up stairs and go na night. WHAT HAPPENED ... I'd give anything for 6 hours of sleep now. Dad had her fall asleep one night in his arms (and secretly loved every second of it) then she was sick so was struggling ever since we can not get her to sleep without holding her and then surprise surprise when she wakes up at night that's what she wants! I've been so scared it'd turn into a habit and that's just what it is ... a bad habit we can't break. We've been trying everything making her cry it out which seems to make her wake up more often ... playing music ... pinning her binky on her so she can't throw it (yes she throws it during her screaming episodes)... tonight I sat by her bed for over an hour and she just laid there talking to me ... so we've been up since 4:30 ... (Kevin is putting her back to bed as I speak) We're so tired and I am so not a morning person and neither of us has our proudest moments as parents listening to her scream at 3 in the morning ... We still love this little girl like crazy but we truly are going crazy ... I never wanted and tried so hard not to have a sleeper like this and now shes totally old enough to get it but being stubborn (which is probably most the problem) Could this be a phase, does she still not feel good (its been a month), did she get too reliant on Benadryl and Tylenol when she was sick, are her teeth bothering her ... this can't go on forever ... what do we do

I feel like we're non stop going ... and am so excited for the semester to be over and to have some free time with Kevin! He has a big test this week (tomorrow) and has had no time off from the hospital so Hailey and I headed up north to stay a few days with his parents in Logan so he could have some quiet after work to study! It was so nice and just reminds me how grateful I am to have such great in-laws ... they really are willing to help us so much and we totally appreciate it! I love how happy they all make Hailey and how happy she makes them ... she is one LOVED little girl! We were able to play with her cousins Brandon and Bailey ... see New Moon ... make some beaded watch bands ... eat some yummy food ... and get lots of Grandma and Grandpa time! Grandma even came down and stayed the night so Kevin and I could go to his work party last night. It was so fun to have a night out just the 2 of us (well and like over 100 IHC coworkers)... I love spending time with Kevin and am so excited when all the stress of school is gone and we can just relax with each other when he gets home! I am so proud of the sacrifices he makes for us and the way he's able to balance his time. Hailey is starting to be a hand full and into everything but still the cutest thing ever! I am so grateful for her and the happiness she brings us.

We are so excited for this Christmas and have the house decorated and look forward to doing lots of festive things and spending time with family!

It's been getting colder but have had a few nice days lately so we've been trying to take advantage and get outside. I really am dreading winter and don't know what I'm going to do ... I hate going out in the cold, wet, snow but I'm sure Hailey will go stir crazy inside all day which will make me go crazy!

I feel like we always say this but Hailey is getting so fun and can do so many new things I swear everyday she learns something new! She also is getting to be lots more work now and so hard to keep entertained ... she's demanding because she knows exactaly what she wants.

Halloween was way fun this year! We have been wanting Hailey to be a penguin since we knew there'd be a Hailey and we think she turned out pretty cute! (Thanks mom for making her costume so perfect)
Grandma and Grandpa Mills came down and we had some chili with the Argyles and Nymans and then the trick-or-treating began. Hailey caught on pretty quick ... she always wanted 2 pieces though one for each hand and by the end would even put it straight in her bag! We only made it about one block but that's plenty for her! Halloween is so fun with a little one!

First Hailey is getting her molars or so we use to explain her unbelievable fussiness. She is the most awesome baby and this new attitude is SO unlike her. Last night Kevin and I were seriously counting the minutes until bedtime when we could have a break ... last diaper used so had to make an emergency trip to Walmart to buy a pack ... first with a stop at roberts to get some halloween paper for a cute wreath me and the neighbor were making today ... had to staple loops of this cute paper with a stapler that only worked every other time ... annoying! Finished! Going to bed sooo tired ... could not fall asleep seriously until 3 am; just laid there watched some tv (learned some about li'l Wayne on behind the music)! Woke up 6:30 to make breakfast for Kev (out of bread forgot to buy some at Walmart) ... back to sleep! Got our morning going! With new stapler, Diet Dr. Pepper in hand, and baby napping the wreaths weren't turning out right so when nap time was over we went to check them out in person in the store ... got it! While finishing the last step using the glue gun I got glue on my finger and then touched the other finger ... the worst burn I've ever had is now on 5 of my fingers blisters and all! I sat outside with my hands in a cup of ice water while Hailey played with the neighborhood kids. Kevin came home and had to cancel his bike ride to help with Hailey ... my hands were out of commission ... he says no more arts and crafts for me! He bought me some burn cream which helped so much the night was getting better! I wanted to make some eggs for dinner ... using my remaining fingers ... bad idea dropped the carton of eggs ... broken everywhere on the kitchen floor ... Kevin so annoyed he told me not to make anything ... and now that Hailey is in bed I'll rewrap the fingers and go to bed myself hopefully tomorrow will be better and the fingers wont hurt nearly so bad!

For Labor Day we went up to Ogden with the Leonrads their uncle owns 9 canoes so we grabbed 2 and headed to the dam. It was so fun ... we looked a little Griswald family with the canoe on the car! It was a perfect day to be outside and the canyon was so pretty! Mandy and I were daring and even jumped in, went on a hike through the river, grabbed a fish from the river to hold, and rowed our guts out!

We've been up to a lot lately ... and are about to get busier Hailey and I are head to Seattle for a week and Kevin will join us for the weekend we're so excited to spend some time with Grandpa Wilson!

No pictures but HAILEY IS WALKING she's been getting close for a month now but it's official she's a walker she's now to the point of almost a run ... I don't even remember what it looks like for her to crawl! We were a little late but we took her to the Dr. (a new Dr. I might add and we love her) for her year appt. and she's weighing in at 20 lbs 2 oz =25% 30 in =75% and her head is 70%. She is so fun now and has gained a new obsession with books its the cutest thing ever she picks one out brings it over and climbs in our laps ... she copies everything we do which makes us laugh ... I love playing with her I was never one to say its going to fast but she really changes so much and learns something new everday ... and I can't get enough of hearing her call me mama.

Over the 24th we went to southern Utah for a Mills reunion in Joseph, Utah! On The 24th we headed down to Bryce canyon ... I've never been and was so surprised it really is so cool and absolutely amazing!

Kevin asked what I wanted to do for my birthday and I was so excited when I realized it was his 3 days off. So we decided to spend the day at Lagoon ... just the two of us! A year ago today our lives were forever changed! At 1:17 am Hailey was born by C-section at LDS hospital. We stayed there for 4 long days and then came home to start our life as a family of 3! We've learned so much this year ... we've learned:

just how precious sleep is, that for some reason we could get excited about a messy diaper, to look at things like it was the first time, to live off one income (ok still working on this one), just how much happiness one little person can bring to so many people, to go days without doing one thing for yourself, to love someone way more than ourselves,that being a parent is a constant learning process, how seeing people love her makes you love them more, and most of all how incomplete we were until we met our little girl! We love Hailey so much and each day we find new things we love about her and most of all I love to see her happy, I hope that we can always make her the happiest little girl because she makes us so unbelievably happy.

This is random but look at how many blankets I have over me this picture was taken as soon as I was wheeled back from the OR ... I remember I was shaking uncontrollably I was nervous to hold her I was shaking so bad ... and it lasted over an hour. I felt helpless in the hospital I didn't get out of bed for a day and a half I didn't even change her diaper till we got home! I was so emotional from all the hormones and pain pills I cried about everything I remember I had to whisper when I talked to Kevin to control it.

Last weekend we left Hailey and spent the weekend in Bear Lake. This was my first time away from her; I was nervous but knew she was in good hands with Grandma and Grandpa and only an hour away from us in Logan. It went really good ... we missed her but enjoyed ourselves! It was fun to get to have some time alone for the first time in 11 months (well minus some tag along Guests J/K). I really do like to spend time with him and we have fun together.

So this little girl looks sad ... but she's not she's just sick and has been for over a week! It is so sad and she's just not getting better I don't know what to do the Dr. said to just keep her on Tylenol! She's over the cough doesn't have to much of a runny nose anymore but now she has a fever and wont eat her food ... So here's to hoping she beats this cold virus soon!

What else is going on at our house ... Last week our basement flooded because the water softener tube broke so our downstairs is a mess ... we have a sick baby who isn't sleeping to good at night so mom doesn't sleep to good at night either ... went to the dentist and I have a cyst in my jaw, luckily we know a great dentist who is figuring out how to get it taken care of (our bro in law ... We were in Logan for Bailey's baptism so had an Easter Egg hunt at Grandma and Grandpa Mills' house

Hailey is so big and changing so much but we love it, she's so fun and we get so excited when she learns new things. She seems to be over trying to crawl don't know if she ever will ... we do have all hard wood floors and she slips so maybe it'd be easier for her on carpet. She wants to stand all the time! We are pretty proud of her she has learned to wave hi and bye and claps her hands whenever we sing "if you're happy and you know it" or start patty cake. Kevin wanted this little car for her and she loves it ... she even tries to scooch herself along but us just as happy to sit on it and play. She has 2 teeth in the bottom. We even got her taking only one long nap but when I can't take her outside to entertain her because of snow she takes 2 because she getts cracky and bored. We think she's so cute and are so happy with our little family.

(not sure why she is always in pj's when we take pictures ... we do dress her for the day)

Hailey is already 9 months ... and growing so big! She is so fun and we love every change she makes.

Height 27 1/2 in 50%

Weight 17 lb 9 oz 25%

Head 44 1/2 cm 60%

Her Dr. was shocked she was only 25% for weight because she is one chubby baby ... but we think the chubs are cute. We were sad to learn she was behind on one shot so we had to get one ... she did good though only a few tears and then the nurse gave her a sucker so that took care of that.

Seattle

Once again we made the trip to Seattle ... this time Kevin got to come making it lots more fun! Hailey and I got him 24/7 well really only 24/4 ... but it was fun. We visited family, do a few site seeing events, and best of all spent time with Grandpa Wilson!

Kevin has always wanted to go on a ferry ride so we did and then drove through the Island and over Deception Pass ... it was rainy and cold (surprise I know) so we'll have to do it again on a nice day sometime

So obviously we haven't updated in awhile ... I have been feeling tired and lazy don 't know why I just can't really get motivated; but we've been busy around the Mills household.

Hailey has been working on her first tooth for the past week and has handled it pretty well minus one horrible night when she cried for a good hour and a half ... not fun especially at 3 AM

We were sure Hailey was going to take off crawling at any moment but now seems to be happy to just scoot on her bum ... so we'll see

Hailey broke her habit of sleeping 7 pm to 7 am and has spent last couple of weeks waking us up at 530 ... we're hoping its the teething thing and not the new norm ... we're working on it and today we were back to the good 'ol days

We had a taste of nice weather and Hailey went in the swing for the first time and loved the wind blowing in her face

Hailey was getting pretty sick of her carseat so we got a new one ... but she still hasn't been very happy about the whole being strapped in thing

Kevin had midterms this week so was busy with studying, studying, and more studying

We'll have to post some new pictures of our girl ... almost 9 months and getting so big we can't believe it

I feel like we haven't taken that many pictures of Hailey since Christmas. She really is getting so big and we can't believe she is almost 7 months. We sure do love her and her cute smile.

We had a great Christmas this year! Kevin had to work Christmas day so we got a late start but it was so fun to have Hailey here and for Santa to get to bring her everything she could have wanted and then some!

Jenni had extra tickets to a Jazz game so Kevin and I both got to go! It was fun to get away and have some time without the baby!

We went to Seattle to visit my dad for a few days. It was fun but wet, I forgot does it always rain that much? Anyway it was so nice to see my dad and Hailey is really fun and interactive with him!
